Education
I graduated from Merrimack College with a double degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education and a minor in Spanish. I graduated summa cum laude with a GPA of 3.9. I was a high school mathematics teacher for the past four years.
Experience
At Merrimack, I was a Peer Tutor in the Mathematics Center and a Math Fellow for the Mathematics Department. I also volunteered as a Math Tutor at Notre Dame High School. As a part of the Mathematics Center, I was a CRLA certified tutor, and as such, have had monthly training sessions and requirements and have received my Level III certification. I am also a Massachusetts certified Mathematics teacher for 5-8 and 8-12, and I taught high school math over the past four years. I love both tutoring and teaching because I am able to combine my passion for mathematics, for learning, and for students. I am committed to helping a student strengthen their skills with the goal of being able to problem-solve and work through challenging concepts themselves in the long run.
